Active Addis

Active Addis is operated by Active Addis. These terms are the agreement between you and us for use of the Active Addis mobile app and the memberships, bookings and venue access it provides. By creating an account you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not use the app. These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia.
You must be at least 18 years old to hold an Active Addis account. You may hold only one account, and the phone number on it must be one you control. Corporate members receive accounts provisioned by their employer; if your employment ends, your employer may ask us to close or downgrade that account.
Keep your password private. You are responsible for activity that happens through your account, including bookings made and venues entered. Tell us immediately at support@activeaddis.com if you believe someone else has access. We may require you to verify your phone number by SMS when you sign up or reset your password.
Membership fees are shown and charged in Ethiopian Birr (ETB) before you confirm a purchase. A membership grants access to partner venues at or below the plan level shown on that plan, for the period stated at checkout. Prices, plans and the list of partner venues can change; changes never affect a membership period you have already paid for. Payments are collected through third-party payment providers, not by the app itself, and are subject to those providers terms as well as these.
You may cancel a booking through the app up to the cancellation window shown on that class or venue. Membership fees for a period already started are generally non-refundable, except where Ethiopian consumer law requires otherwise or where we have failed to provide access you paid for. If a partner venue closes or leaves the network mid-period, contact us and we will make it right.
Bookings depend on the capacity a venue makes available and are not guaranteed until confirmed in the app. Checking in requires you to be physically present at the venue: the app verifies your location against the venue location, and venue staff may also check your name and profile photo. Do not attempt to check in on behalf of anyone else. Repeated no-shows may result in booking restrictions.
Each partner venue sets its own rules on equipment, dress, hours and behaviour, and you must follow them and any instruction from venue staff. We may suspend or close an account for abusive behaviour, damage to venue property, sharing account access, or attempting to obtain access you have not paid for.
Physical exercise carries risk. Active Addis is not a medical provider and gives no medical advice. Consult a qualified professional before starting or changing an exercise programme, particularly if you are pregnant, recovering from injury or managing a health condition. You take part in any activity at a partner venue at your own risk, and the venue — not Active Addis — is responsible for the condition of its premises, equipment and staff.
We work to keep the app available but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may add, change or withdraw features, and may update these terms. If we make a material change we will tell you in the app or by SMS before it takes effect. Continuing to use Active Addis after that point means you accept the updated terms.
You can delete your account at any time from the Profile screen. Deleting removes your access immediately and ends any active membership without refund of the current period. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, and will tell you why unless we are legally prevented from doing so.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by Ethiopian law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence. Subject to that, Active Addis is not liable for injury, loss or damage arising at a partner venue, and our total liability to you for any claim relating to the app is limited to the membership fees you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
